Traveling by plane with children doesn’t have to be a difficult task. Just prepare and anticipate situations so everything goes smoothly and is enjoyable. Follow our suggestions for a great trip.
I’m about to buy the ticket. Any tips?
When booking your flight, inform the airline or travel agent that you’ll be traveling with children. They can provide useful suggestions, such as booking a nighttime flight so the children can maintain their usual sleep schedule or reserving window seats.
What documents are needed?
Children must always have their own Citizen Card/ID and Passport, if applicable.
Keep in mind that to validate the age of children under two years old, a birth certificate without a photo may not be accepted by the airline.
At the airport, remember that all children (even those traveling on an adult’s lap, without a reserved seat) also need a boarding pass.
Children traveling unaccompanied by their parents must have a Travel Authorization signed and notarized.
