Santo Antão
Santo Antão is a wonderful surprise, a dream for anyone who enjoys trails, mountains, and untouched nature. Its rugged terrain, lush vegetation, villages, and a population primarily dedicated to agriculture offer visitors a unique landscape.
Unlike more well-known tourist spots, this small haven is ideal for relaxation and contemplation. Hiking, cycling, picnics, and the chance to marvel at its natural beauty are some of the things this island offers.
Santo Antão does not have an airport; therefore, the only way to reach the island is by boat (Ferry Boat). To make the trip, you must travel to São Vicente Island and then take the boat from Porto Grande to Porto Novo in Santo Antão. The boat trip between the two islands takes about an hour.
